Sun Chemical and DIC Corporation Experts to Present at the European Coatings SHOW 2017

NUREMBERG, GERMANY – March 31, 2017 – Sun Chemical and DIC Corporation experts will deliver three original technical papers discussing pigments, waterborne coatings and radiation curing on April 3rd during the European Coatings SHOW 2017.

The first presentation delivered by Dieter Großschartner, Metallic Pigments Product Developer at Sun Chemical, will talk about Benda-Lutz® COMPAL WS, a range of highly concentrated, VOC-free aluminum preparations for coatings and inks. His presentation, Highly Versatile Aluminum Flake for Water, Solvent and Ultra-Low VOC Coatings and Inks, will be delivered from 12:30 to 1 p.m. during “Session 2 for Pigments.”

Designed for long term gassing stability in aqueous environments, COMPAL WS can be used in both water or solvent based systems, providing maximum formulation flexibility. Each grade of COMPAL WS preparations is delivered in an easily dispersible granular form for safe and easy handling, improved shelf stability, and numerous other advantages in transport.

The second presentation will be given by Ryo Maeda of the Polymer Technical Group at DIC Corporation who will talk about Functionalized Hybrid Water-Based Polyurethane Dispersions from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. during “Session 4 for Waterborne Coatings.”

Akio Umino, Synthesis Technical Division at DIC Corporation will deliver a paper called Development of Heat Resistant, Ultra-Smooth UV Curable Alkyd Primers for Physical Vapor Deposition, from 3:00 to 3:30 p.m. during “Session 12 for Radiation Curing.”
